What do we mean by "beta"?
Well, we're working out the kinks in many parts of this site and continuing to build out whole new wings (as of mid January 2010). But we decided to quietly turn on the lights and invite a select few to have a look around—real quiet-like. You're one of the insiders.
So come on in and make yourself at home. Feel free to register as a member, search for some citizen science projects to do, add a project to our listings, and click around anywhere else you like.
In addition to the obvious dummy text and placeholder images, you may come across some dead ends, trap doors, and inexplicable happenings. But hey, that's part of the fun of being a beta tester.
Send us feedback: If you do encounter anything weird, we'd love to hear about it. Please send a brief description to info@scienceforcitizens.net. Of course we'd love to hear your general impressions, feedback, and suggestions, too.
Thanks for helping us get off the ground.
P.S. - If you register, you'll have access have access to all the new information and tools as they become available. We can send you updates about our progress, too.
